Frequently asked questions
What to know before buying, renting or posting on Houni.
How do I post a listing on Houni?
Create an account, click 'Post a listing' and follow the steps: property type, transaction, price, photos and the spot on the map. Five to ten minutes is enough if your photos are ready. Once it's approved, your listing is visible to every visitor, in all five languages.
Does posting a listing cost anything?
No, a basic listing is free, with no commission on the sale or the rent. There are paid options to feature a listing or reach a wider audience, but they're entirely optional: you can sell or let without spending a single dinar.
How do I know if a property is fairly priced?
Look at the price per square metre shown on each listing and compare it with similar properties in the same neighbourhood, not in another town. An S+2 in Sousse isn't priced like an S+2 in Tunis, and the gap can already be wide from one delegation to the next. Cross-check a few listings before you decide.
Do I need an account to contact an advertiser?
You can send a message through a listing's form without logging in. To reveal the phone number or message on WhatsApp, you'll be asked to sign in: a safeguard that cuts down on spam and protects advertisers' details.
Does Houni cover the whole of Tunisia?
Yes. Listings span all 24 governorates, from Greater Tunis to the south, with pages by town and by delegation. Whether you're looking in Bizerte, Djerba or a village near Le Kef, you filter by region to see only what's relevant to you.
Which languages can I use the site in?
The site is fully available in French, Arabic, English, Italian and Spanish. It's built for Tunisians as much as for the diaspora and foreign investors following the market from Europe or further afield.
